@Lladnyk, can you take a closeup picture through the lowbeam bulb mounting hole so we can see what the cutoff shield looks like in the projector headlights?

i have never seen a prius with the blacked out halogen headlights lol, curious to see how it looks like. Ive seen them on http://www.carid.com but never seen a illustration pic.

Ive wanted some new headlights to, like the G`s headlights, but they r expensive AF and is for LHD driving countries like Japan... and i really dont wanna downgrade my LED 2011 headlights for halogen ones. Thinking about buyin the face lift LED headlights, open them, paint some chrome details black and then install them on the car.

ohh damn... that looks good!, i also just love the LED parking light strip. I personally dont think the bulbs on the 2011 LED version look good at all... The LED strip just looks so much better, same with the full beams, the square looks so much better thent he circle on mine.

I just dont understand one thing tho, maybe u can answer that.
On the 2011 version, there is this extra LED light on top of the two projectors, the face lift version dont have that. When i tried to cover it over with my hand at night a hugeeee portion of illumination to the side dissapeared. So yea, what illuminates the side on the face lift version? ill leave a illustration pic to show what i mean.
When i hold over the light over the projectors. The face lift version dont got this extra light. So does it illuminate as good?[IMG][IMG]

The 12-15 LED projectors have better optics so there was no need for the small LED based reflector

damn those do look good lol, imagine those in the G`s headlights.
Pretty sure its illegal in my country tho, thats what sucks lol. In Norway the headlight cannot be modified at all or else it will loose its certification, but yet it is some things we r allowed to mod like color (u know coloring chrome parts that doesnt got a function in the headlight) and parking light position! (im still trying to find out if i can put my parking lights in the highbeam reflector, but not even the states road athority can answer cause they dont know the laws themselfs.), so technincally we r allowed to mod but still not. The laws in this country got so many flaws its rediciulous... every workshop got their own opinion on whats legal and not to...

It’s not 100% legal in Cali either. The idea is to make it look like it’s stock......then they won’t question it.

ahh, well u guys r lucky then, cause here in Norway, every 2nd yr we got something called "Periodic vehicle control" where they check if ur car is "safe for the road" according to the EU regulations (but again, we r not even a part of EU lol, but still we got almost every rule in the EU in Norway). Funny enough they only check the brakes and lights, they dont check the engine at all... But yea, since i do my PVC at toyota they will spot any mods immediately.

Sure @xliderider. The first image is the passenger side and the second one is the driver side. Just wondering, why did you want to see the cutoff shields? Is there anything I should be looking for?

I wanted to know if it had the squirrel finder cutouts. They do.

    mhmmm why?

I opened a thread where Dylan helped me finding out if the halogen cut off plates would fit the Prius G’s cut off plates, so I could just change them out and it would change the beam pattern to Left hand drive.
And a bummer... they don’t.... which sucks. I’m surprised no one sells specially made cutoff plates for the Prius G’s headlights tho? So LHD cars could use them to.

R u soon getting them on the car dude? Curious to see how they look like.
R u getting some T10 led bulbs for the parking lights as well or?

The cutoff on the G headlight is part of the entire front half of the projector unlike other projectors where the cutoff shield is it’s own piece. Why not just Retrofit them like I did?

Is that a good thing? And do the stock ones have them too?

I'm installing the new housing tomorrow, but I just finished installing new LED low beams and high beams. I already bought some LEDs for the parking lights a while ago.

Really happy with the way these turned out on the stock headlight assemblies. Need to re-adjust them but I figured it's pointless because tomorrow I'll have entirely new headlights.
