My daughter likes to read in the back seat while we're driving so I had to install a light for her. I'm pretty good with fiberglass/composite fabrication so I decided to install a LED in the rear door sail and hard-wire it in for the driver to be able to adjust the level of the light.

Here's the sail, LED light and switch that will be installed.

Mounting hole cut and light wrapped in tape and hot glued into place to get the angle I needed.

I used Duraglass to mount the light in place and shaped it the sprayed it with a high-build primer.

Sail panel with the light and switch installed. I textured it and sprayed it with some black satin paint.

Where I mounted the knob next to driver's seat and under the E-Brake...I utilized a 12V LED dimmer switch and modified it to meet my needs.

The longest part of the install, besides modifying the sail panel, was the wiring...it was a pain but I really like the way it come out and my daughter loves it. I'm not sure if I'll do the other side, but I'm sure one day I'll get bored and knock it out.

If I had a 3D printer and the know how, I definitely would since I think they'd be easier to make...unfortunately, my 'medium' is fiberglass and carbon fiber.
