However, early last year there were 3 (I think) hybrids available. The Insight, the Civic, and the Prius.

This year the same three remain, but the Mariner/Escape, Accord, Camry, and HiHy/RX400 are available, plus the Lexus high end sedan. Now the Accord and HiHy/RX400 bombed last year, but are selling now because of incentives. And the Ford hybrids have always been supply constrained. So the number of models has more than doubled, but the sales have only increased 25%.

    It doesn't matter, Ken.
More people will read that article than will read the actual facts.

That's what's so sad about immediately deliverable stories like this one. People will read it and put it into their brains. Then we went to dispell the untruths but by then the readers have moved on to something else that was immediately delivered to them.

Good point. Although, isn't the insight no longer available?

I just noticed that the link and the article are British.

No! These jerks don't represent all of journalism. Do you often extrapolate from such a small sample? <_<

    It doesn't matter, Tony.

The artcle says "Total hybrid sales fell 2.7 per cent to 79,640 in the US during the first six months, according to CNW Market Research".
