Was doing some work in the trunk area, removed the HV orange switch. Now the car won't turn on. It has power like lights and horn.

I'm 100% sure I put the switch back on correctly

You have to lock the orange switch

Locked it in and still nothing. Is there a way to reset it?

Flip the switch and then slide it until you hear a click? It's a 2 step process

Disconnect the 12v negative for 1 minute. Then start the car

At least on Gen 2, there is a fuse inside the lock out device, if it is blown, you need a new lock out device.

The orange plug functions as a bridge and a fuse. There's also 3rd component, 2 prongs inside a small plug, they complete a circuit telling the car that the orange plug is in and locked. It's possible that the 2nd component of this, a connector from the battery, has come loose and not making a connection with the plug even if it's properly inserted.

Padroo, that was awesome, thank you! First few minutes, I thought he was well informed. Then he turned a wrench. Ya know a guy's worth in any field just watching him pick up a tool. He's an artiest. (Best carpenter I have ever met told me he could watch a guy pick up a hammer and know if he was the master or student that day. I'm sure thats how he got to be the best I have personally met)

Thank you so much for posting. I stopped every thing and sat and watched that from beginning to end. (I'm still paying off replacing a battery as I was not comfortable with such high voltage. I dang sure will next time.

Wut could go wrong? LOL, hold my beer and watch this......"

    (y) that he used the multimeter to demonstrate how pulling the service plug leaves no voltage between the output terminals, but (n) about not mentioning how that might not be true if there has been an isolation fault (HV leakage) code reported. I'd be happier if he had said "always verify this with your meter, rather than assuming."
