Hated the wheel gap so i installed RSR Down Sus lowering springs. Specs say its around a 1.2-1.4in front drop and a 1in rear drop. Since these were made for the 4th gen 2016+ prius hatchback the rear looks like it dropped a little more than an inch due to the larger, heavier prime battery. I dont mind and i love how it looks and drives now. Part # T580D if anyone is curious. Debating if i want some enkei rpf1 to complete my look.

    Looks great!

Just FYI it may affect your PCS and DRCC systems. (If you use them).

Looks nice. In my opinion, every car looks better when it's lowered.

Thats how i feel. I lowered all my cars including my old 07 prius.

The car is low enough for most people, but for me i prefer a more stanced look. Im a young guy and hate wheel gap. I still havent scraped yet, just gotta drive carefully over speed bumps

Thanks. Now for some rims :)

Nice!!! If lowered in Houston, there will be hitting objects and scraping.

What did you use for center caps and where did you get them? Also what percentage of tint did you use?

There is a diy for prius center caps somewhere on the forum. Picked up some electrical box covers/caps from Lowe's and spray painted them to match. Tint is 20% all around. I wouldnt mind going a little darker if they had 10% 15% tint.

For how low it is stock im surprised i havent scraped much after lowering it. Just gotta drive carefully and slowly angle it on speed humps

Houston interstate hwy are not so bad until some (many) leave entire or parts of the tire is/are left in the lanes due to disintegration poor condition of tires or running flat tires, not just tires but 2x4's wood, suitcases, garbage... In the regular roads similar issues as interstate hwy, and ah..the steep ramp to enter or exit many businesses (steep ramp design is due to flooding)

Sounds like a 3rd world country haha jk. Ya ive been to H Town it sucks that you have to pay a toll every few miles... traffic is cali like too with some crazy nice person drivers. I gotta admit i didnt see too many hybrids if any.. gas is so cheap there compared to Cali

That is why my neighbor tells me when occasionally sees me and specifically when he saw new prime last week, "You know you are in Texas (3 sec silence).. you need a pickup truck"

how do you like the springs so far? I was reading another post by a gen 4 owner complaining that these springs would bottom out often is this something you've experienced also?

Also interested in ride quality . Is it a lot stiffer ride? Less body roll? I also assume you needed a alignment after install.
