Yeah Honda's pretty bad these days, I don't know where to turn, lol.

Everybody seems to feel this obligation, to fill any clean expanse of smooth body panel, with busywork, creases, fake ports/grills, plastic "skid plates", headlight sculptures, what have you. Seems a reflection of the current psych: when anyone's talking "on the record", they're forever using 10 words, when one or two would do, loading it up with qualifiers, disclaimers, endless pronouns.

I'm not doing too bad myself...

I agree on the 'lips' comment. However, I have heard a lot of people dissing the tail lights on the Gen4 ( i.e. - your profile photo ). Not sure why though...I kind of like them myself.

Ohh - is this CLARITY a current model - I assumed it was from the dark ages of the original INSIGHT.

I suppose it's to be expected, after the CIVIC with multiple odd angles and scoops etc.

It is the current model. The Prius killer.

Seriously yes! I was debating long and hard between the Prime and '18 Two Eco but I could not get over the looks of the Prime, the rear looked like some weird butterfly and the front just looked weird. Not only that, I would have had to give up a seat and extra trunk space. I know it's close to the Gen 4 Prius in looks, but it looks like the ugly stepsister comparatively.

Any review of the Prime that I have ever read the author's opinion is always that the Prime looks a little better than the regular Prius. A typical comment is that it's a little less jarring. I don't remember reading a review where the author thought the Prime looked worse than the liftback. Obviously all subjective I'm just saying what I have observed.

Well keep in mind this is totally me convincing myself I made the right choice between the two because I kind of still wanted the Prime. But subjectively I like the harsher angles of the Gen 4 regardless.

Looks aside, if either the Prius or Prime takes an ever so gentle front end love tap: big bucks to restore the artwork. This bugs me.

I was reading that about most car designs these days. With a relatively slow hit, it can pop 3 Airbags, a Pyrotechnic thingy or 2, A/C condenser, a pair of headlights (I was reading about some JEEP ones which made PRIUS look cheap), RADAR etc sensors - leading to cars being written off with relatively minor looking damage.

The cheaper the car, the more likely for it to be written off.

Oh, I love the Prime too. Kinda wish the regular Prius had similar style. Love the headlight design.

If someone would drop Prius tech into a Wrangler body I'd be all over it.

I love 80s retro style on that Honda.... Reminds me of 80s sci-fi movies with featured advanced concept cars..
