My wife drives a 2015 level 4 sedan and has difficulties backing down a long narrow driveway. My car (different brand) has track lines that would be useful for her. They show the projected path based on the steering wheel orientation. I went to a dealer and asked if the new Prius had something similar, and, if so, was it on all models or only certain levels or with some options. There was no human being there that could answer what I thought was a simple question. I have also not been able to find out online. Any information would be appreciated.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but my 2017 Two doesn't have that. I have no idea if the other trims have it.

The Gen 4 has lines but they are fixed. They do not move with the steering wheel.
The lines are on all trims.

The lines @Prodigyplace is referring to are there to give you an idea of the warning zone as to when you're getting too close to what's in back of you.

It's a red box with a cross at the back. It seems to me the cross designates what you're going to hit if you keep going straight back.

If you don't have rear collision detection avoidance - as I don't on my 2016 - you'd best look behind you to see exactly how close you are. That way you can make sure you don't hit someone or something.

Where I am now, the locals tend to ignore people backing out of parking spaces, no matter how far you've pulled out, and blissfully drive behind you.

Mine move - they're great (better than my phone camera):

I’m not surprised Toyota puts that feature on vehicles in other countries. The US models always seem to lag behind in terms of features offered.

So far, the US Prius lacks:

    Turn signal mirrors
    Back up camera trajectory

I’m sure someone can add to this list for me. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

On the other hand, we're missing:
    • buttons and knobs on the radio (the bigggggest frustration)
    • any form of automatic parking
    • reversing blind spot monitor
    • no rear (or front) sensors
    • proximity sensing & braking

Like Alan, my Gen 4 has lines that move with the steering wheel, but I don't have all kinds of other options.

I believe European models have mirrors that automatically fold when you exit the vehicle. That is something I wish we had here.

Yes I have autofolding mirrors on my Excel model that fold when I touch the door lock button and unfold as soon as I put my hand behind the handle.

Mine also has the moving back up lines on the camera (3 user selectable versions), but one thing I really wish we had was auto locking/unlocking when driving aobve 5mph or on selecting drive like the US has.

Like Harters, my one-above-base model, UK Business Edition has all that. It defies logic.

Mine has the folding mirrors - you can turn it off easily if you don't want it. But, I'd love the auto locking/unlocking when driving. I'd also like the unlock only driver's door. My previous FOCUS and FIESTA were like that - one click of the unlock on the FOB and it just unlocked the Driver's door, two clicks and unlocked all - great in spooky carparks.

I think they have turn signal indicators on the mirrors too.

That is very strange that it will unlock all the doors on the first press of the remote. I figured 2-stage unlock would be universal by now. We have the option in our vehicle customization settings to modify it.

We had a 1995 Camry that would unlock all the doors too. It had a single button remote.

Sorry - I didn't explain completely - you could easily program (couple of clicks of the FOB buttons) for either 1 door or 5 doors to be unlocked - I had it set on just the driver's door. But PRIUS doesn't have that option for Australian models.

@sfv41901, does Hybrid Pit have a kit for turn signal and folding mirrors? I'd obviously need to find someone in D/FW to do the install, but that would be a great mod.

I'm not sure why Toyota doesn't offer this worldwide.
