AM Radio Interference

    Heck, I'd have suspected spark plug wires only because I remember the old AM days and hearing that interference on the radio.

    That’s why there’s a filter in the engine bay.

    Not in a GEN II. It's actually a separate module!!

    Yep antenna amp A23 is mounted right behind the radio.

    There's also a Ignition filter N1 that decouples the B+ to all 4 cops in the engine bay. Without that filter I wold imagine the AM would be unusable. You would hear static noise in time with the engine speed. Its mounted on the valve cover area on the drivers side. One side is grounded the other side has a black wire.
