Heard from Capitol, number 71 on the list. starting with - oh, it looks like 60 to 70, ending up 71 after indicating sometimes folks do bail on their orders so i could end up being #60.

 

4/28 update

Mark at Capitol seems baffled by my inquiries as to my standing on the list. When I asked this time we emailed back and forth a few times before he called. I finally dragged out of him that Capitol rec'd 10 Prii in April (4/1 - 4/28) and I've moved from somewhere in the neighborhood of 71 to somewhere in the neighborhood of 65.

They don't, according to Mark, keep a list but rely on the date stamps on the order forms.

I guess at this rate I should see my car in late October.

 

On two lists

I finally decided to get on two lists so now it's
4/1/04 White #9 Capitol and
5/3/04 White/Silver #9 Piercey

I have to confess I feel a bit of a schmuck going doubles but Capitol didn't seem all that helpful and Piercey has been very gracious and forthcoming.

I learned they'd just finished their March allocations at the end of June. I'm hoping a call today will give positive news. But, I'm resigned to getting my new toy in October.

I just got the call, my car is here! I've arranged to go get it on Saturday.
