    Hi

I have a 2016 Prius c and I'm having a problem with my navigation screen. It has always been full screen one map mode and that's it. Lately it seems to be switching between one screen and dual screen maps. I don't like that mode, so I go into the options from the map screen, and select the one that says map only, and then it takes me back to what I want which it one map filling the whole screen. It never did this before, and is very annoying. I seems to switch to dual screen as I am approaching turns or intersections where I have to turn. And then sometimes it will switch back to map mode single screen. It never did that before.

    Please help...

Yes it did. You just didn't notice.

That is normal operation for their GPS.....and many others too.

It will not do that if you don't have a "route" set.
I doubt that you can permanently stop it from doing that.......but I haven't really tried.

Maybe so. Maybe I just never paid attention before, but now I find myself constantly having to reset back to one screen using the options :(

Mine is always map only, I believe. I slightly recall going through the settings and seeing the dual maps, not liking it, and changing it back. But I don't have to change anything. Maybe your dealership did an update of the head unit?

So you are telling me that yours is always on map only mode and never changes to dual screen? That is what I am trying to achieve. As far as I know, and I've had the car for two years, it's always been that way. I see the option to select map only, but it always seems to sporadically go back to dual mode and then sometimes back to map only mode. I am constantly going back to the options screen to select map only. It's very annoying...

Oh, and I forgot to mention, this only happens when I am using the navigation function. When I am just driving, it DOES stay on map only...

Continuing to discuss it here probably is pointless.
I suggest that you contact a dealer and PAY them to check it out.
And then just learn to live with it if they can't "fix" it.

Having that expanded window when approaching a maneuver point can actually be useful sometimes.

First of all...who are you to tell me that this is a pointless discussion? Second of all, I am not going to PAY for anything as the car is under warranty. Second of all, you are implying that I am cheap, and that there is nothing wrong with it it the first place. I don't appreciate your attitude. Please don't bother posting in this thread, unless you have anything useful to say.

You can click on his username & then click the Ignore button. You will then not see their posts.
I guessed right who you were complaining about. They are already on my Ignore list to my screenshot shows Unignore instead.

I have no way to know your warranty status.
I am implying nothing; you are inferring things because of YOUR attitude.
I have experience with what you are complaining about and I honestly believe that it is normal and would be a waste of your time to argue about any more.
But ignore that as you please.
Please let the forum know the outcome.

Then please, by all means, continue to argue about it... as you're doing. You're not usually this obtrusive. No need to just immediately not help. If you don't see that you can provide input, just let it be.

Stephen K. When I get off work today, I'll take a small video of my maps and we'll see if we're on the same page. Some of the members on this thread didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed and would at least like to attempt to help.

Sorry, other than my "Ignore" suggestion I cannot be of much help here and I am pretty sure I got up on the right side of the bed. :D

I quoted Sam in that, Prodigy. You may not have seen it since you have the "ignore".

No worries. If I am unsure I usually look at the post numbers and see a gap. I guess I forgot to do that.
