    Did he clear the codes (disconnect the 12 volt)?
    What about testing under load?
    Is this the original pack?
    How did he clean the cable and was anything applied to it prior to reassembly?

    Can you tell us a little more about the car, milage, brief history, how long you have owned it, etc?

    Your three codes mean:

    P3000 = HV Battery Malfunction
    P3023 = Battery Block 13 Becomes Weak
    P3024 = Battery Block 14 Becomes Weak

    The battery blocks are counted from the opposite end of the ECU and electronics, so blocks 13 and 14 are modules 25, 26, 27 and 28. These are the 4 modules closest to the ECU and electronics.

    You need the do a load test, because as you see, just testing open circuit voltage does not tel you anything.

    Use the search function at the top the page. Click on the more button to select advanced search and then use the filter options to limit your search result to the Gen 2 forums (and child forums) to get more information i=on load testing modiules.

    Hope that helps.

    I see that Raytheagle has posted while I was typing this and he always has good things to say.

    What you see is all I know.

    For all intents and purposes @Henry Castro is the OP, so address all questions to him.

    someone replaced some packages previously, I cleaned them with electric parts cleaner, I bought the car 2 months ago, now I turn on The Light the car loses power and gives me those codes. I do not know if I change the ECU, but I do not know how to check if it's bad.
    If I clear the code I can drive good for a few minutes

    Sounds like a rebuilt pack:(.

    Some additional questions:
    • How many miles on your 2005?
    • What led you to purchase this Prius?
    • How many owners has your Prius had?
    • Any accident history?
    • When you say the cable was corroded, were the bus bats also corroded?
    • Do you have Techstream or a way to watch what the battery does under load?
    • What about a way to charge the hv battery pack?
    Good luck and keep us posted (y).

    Did you take pictures of the work done so far?

    If we get you to 6 posts, you can share pics;).

    Pictures will help us see how bad the corrosion might be and what other issues might be lurking (y).

    You shouldn't need to touch the ECU, the codes you have are indicative of bad modules, not a bad ECU.

    Your focus should be on load testing all your modules to confirm which of modules 25, 26, 27 and 28 are less than stellar.

    Yup ;).

    Blocks 13 and 14 to be specific.

    There are 2 “modules” in each block and 6 cells per block.

    6 cells per module, 12 cells per block.

    So it does not matter that the voltage is not low, they are still failing, could you tell me which is 13 and 14, I start counting from the side of the module?

    This post on the Hybrid Automotive gives a good methodology:

    Prolong® Battery Module Load Tester User Guide | Hybrid Automotive

    You can build your own tester, there is nothing special about the one they sell, if you can work it out from the pics, or buy from them. They just offer a turnkey solution.
