I'm curious if there is an easy way to bypass the JBL amp on the gen 3 prius. I replaced my HU and used the TYTO-01. 6 months later I have lots of in and out fading on the device. I took it out and checked all connections and everything appears fine. Looking online this appears to be a common issue so I thought OK I'll order the PAC TATO instead but it looks like they have the same issue after a few months. Has anyone bypassed the JBL amp entirely and documented how you routed the wires?. Metra makes a bypass harness for other Toyota JBL amps but it doesn't show that it works with the Prius. Are there any companies that make a similar device that holds up or should I just plan to replace the TYTO-01 once or twice a year to save the effort of rewiring the whole car?

Just following myself up, I checked all my connections and not all the connections on the harness. The harness that plugs into the factory connector had a loose pin on the blue wire. After getting it seated properly and taping all the wires so that they won't wiggle loose with bumps it looks like I'm back in business.
