    Hello all,

    Have an 07 Prius.with 105k

Have the car up to date with maintenance.

The last 2 days while going through one high elevation and the next day was a subtle elevation.

The red triangle came on and showed up on mfd also. For few seconds and went away on its own.

Anyone know what I should check or be worried about?

It never hurts to check the fluids first. That's the low hanging fruit. But most likely, you'll need to have the codes read by a reader that's Prius fluent. There are countless possibilities.

Many use Torque (app) with the OBD2 blue tooth adapter, or Techstream with a mini-vci cable.

Those would be the top two. If you have an iPhone, get Engine Link. The Torque Prius PIDs will work with it once you import them. This thread will help you get started if you want to use the phone app. Gen2 Prius: Custom PIDs for Torque (Android App) with formulas | PriusChat

    I’m here to report again,

I got the car up on rhino ramps. Checked all fluids.

Basically it was oil that was low, checked records & was overdue.

Windshield fluid was low, doubt it was cause.

I drove the car only few miles but I have to drive more to see if the symptoms are gone. I’m most likely guessing it was oil low causing the red triangle.

Thanks everyone. If it pops up again I’ll post again.

Best to check the oil level when you fill up with gas (or first thing in the morning), at least until you know how much you're using and how often (y)

Keep the oil level between the two lines, if the oil level goes low enough causing the 'red triangle' to appear (this means you now have little or no oil remaining in the engine) there is the possibility of bad things happening o_O
