My first attempt with Plasti Dip. I’m really impressed with the product...and Fonzie :sneaky:! I thought that the “Raw Titanium” would be darker but it’s only temporary, right? Still torn about the color to use, I want really dark but not black. I have some Scion wheels to pick up tomorrow ($100 (y)) but I wanted to experiment with the current ones. Not any huge changes, just a fresh look. I may still debadge, but to me badges are like jewelry for your car and I really like jewelry :D! Some before and afters...opinions? Should I Plasti Dip the wheel halos too?

So, I’m the queen of zip tie ingenuity...

My front grill was broken in 7 places after my daughters fender bender. I saved $45, and with the all the little things that are broken, every penny counts. This stuff is sandible. We will see how it looks after some paint.

As a testament to my avid zip tie repair innovations....This was a Chemistry Analyzer that had condensation on the camera sensors (gotta love NC humidity). Service was gonna charge us $2000 to replace the sensors. My hairdryer, a sample rack and 2 zip ties, ask me if I got a raise? 6B5D0805-3099-41DA-9CD0-1951266A09AE.jpeg

color is good. it could be a factory color. some folks like to do garish looking mods; I prefer more conservative colors. yours looks very good.

I’m so excited! I ordered a new bumper, fog light grill, headlights, hid adapters, taillights, interior light bulb kit, cabin air filter, shark fin antenna, and vinyl tint. New tires going on the new-to-me “17 wheels this week. Body work next week. Hopefully it will all come together without too many hiccups. In the meantime I did a “stealth” lighter install, and made a custom decal to cover up a boo boo :p

    Just saw this thread.

Good deal on the rims assuming no serious damage (especially with tires, though they will probably kill your fuel economy). Could probably use a refinish to clean up the curb rash.

On a black car, consider using a light bronze plasti--dip. See: https://blkdiamondmafia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Acura-NSX-With-Bronze-Vossen-VPS-314-Wheels-2.jpg I'm personally not a fan of the silver-ring look for wheels, so I'd do the whole thing instead of just the center section.

Also: you get a thumbs-up for the zipties from the drift-bro in me.

With all the drag that I was getting with my old tires (4 different tires), I think the mpg will be balanced out (hopefully). I’m getting 40 now, I’m gonna keep track.

I like the bronze, it’s beautiful! In my area it wouldn’t fly for me lol! Only because it’s a Prius and not a big ol truck !

I really don't understand this sentiment. Why would it only be OK on a truck?

I had an 2016 F150 as a rental once. It was miserable to drive - I might as well have been driving a huge bus.

Haha! Around here...if it’s not a truck it’s not worth it... I have a truck too, but I use it for what it was intended for.

New taillights and headlights are in! Tinted the fog lights, and we now have a shark fin. We’ve come a long way!
