I like the big screen because I think it looks cool.

And we all know looking cool is what driving a prius is all about.

@john1701a this is the wrong approach. Ask the poster how much they are asking; miles; and VIN for a CarFax report. We should help the unhappy poster to their next ride so they can pester owners of their future ride.

Hummmm, fuel cell car, a perfect solution.

The 11.6 is a bit overrated. I often turn it off when not using it. It's fine when parked/stopped, but hard to use while driving.

If you are looking ahead to see what's up with traffic or what song is now playing, that's quick & easy with a large display. So, it's really a matter of setting realistic expectations.

Yes, that's an excellent suggestion... and another example of setting realistic expectations.

I actually hate that screen. It is the reason I bought the Plus; because I considered the smaller screen and physical climate buttons an upgrade .

I got used to it, and I like it. Besides, DRCC helps me feel less edgy when I momentarily look down on the screen. I also think that wanting tactile feed back may be a generational thing for us mature persons. My 20 yr old son who knows nothing but touch screen user interface seems to be quite at home with Prime's screen. In 10-15 yrs, we may have no physical screens, guages, buttons, dials, etc. and telling the on-board computer what you want while comfortably watching a video book in a self-driving vehicle. Or, we will be beamed to wherever we want in an instance. Life is good.

The real problem with it is that Toyota removed Lane Keep Assist that the Gen 3's had. That would at least keep you in the lane while you momentarily looked at the screen to change a setting or figure out where exactly to touch to get what you need. IMHO, without LKA, it's dangerous.
    Like the map, though.

The 11.6 screen is the biggest disappointment of the car.

    So here goes:
    1) input lagggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
    2) audio control button is super small
    3) screen is super glaring b/c angle is not adjustable, sunset or close to sunset renders the screen totally unusable b/c of the glare and reflection
    4) it randomly reboots and buggy
    5) climate control would randomly not remember toggles for ECO or Driver Priority settings
    6) does not show non-English characters (i.e. Chinese, Japanese, etc.), while other older version of Toyota vehicles has the ability to show them
    7) the audio tracks shuffle toggle would also randomly turn itself off
    8) wasted space at the top of the screen with the little prius car logo
    9) No traffic info in Canada
    10) No entune in Canada
    11) audio control ergonomics not optimized; wasted space for displaying album, artist, etc.
    12) navigation destination input not user friendly, no natural language input - feels like 2002 input

All in all, this infotainment system is the biggest design FAIL by Toyota. Seriously whoever engineered this system should be slated for early retirement.
