Discretion is the better part of valor...and lots smarter when what THEY are driving outweighs what YOU are driving by so much...Not to mention the macho SUV agressive testosterone potential issues...coupled with guns and or baseball bats...

THANK YOU! Now I have found most of my OTHER license plate frame, to go with the one that says "Weapon of Less Consumption" and "Mission Accomplished." (And I am not too concerned about what it might make anyone think of my sexuality...I am pretty secure in that regard, and if it upsets someone else...well...not my problem at all... :D )

Great image...but back to first point above...I think in these cases, just keeping our "smug" thoughts and responses to ourselves might be the better way to go!

Education is in the eye of the beholder, innit? The SUV machos won't be educated by either a flier OR a soldier, but the point remains the same, and at least it is more fun for the educator to leave the toy!

You can use little wooden soldiers. Most of them are made in China, so the irony really won't hit for another 20 years or so.

Why did you give the driver the satisfaction of looking at him/her? If you don't look at them, how can they show you a gesture?

Your right of course, but I do find it a little upsetting that when your obeying the law some people get so mad at you for doing the right thing. Kinds of makes you wish you were a loan officer and they are the next clients to walk in. Mostlikely, like somechic said, I would never have looked their way or noticed them.

Awwww c'mon, enjoy the rightful and justified feeling of intellectual superiority that comes with Prius ownership, but don't be too hard on our SUV-owing bretheren -- feel sorry for them instead! They bought the wrong vehicles at the wrong time, and now they're paying dearly for their foolish mistakes. And when you add to that the emotional deficiencies that led them to purchase a "manly" pickup in the first place, it's pretty predictable that we're going to see some immature expressions of frustration and failure, especially when they see one our our cars, and have to face the fact that we're getting where we're going the same as they are, but we're doing so at about 1/4 the cost they're paying. Oh gee, I guess I'm being hard on them. . . ;)

Say what *cough* did I say what???

Dude, you've bought a car and, unless it came with an optional brain injector, it is what it is - a car. It's not an IQ booster or knowledge pill.

Plus, cost of driving is not a concern for some of those SUV owners who have enough money to fill their tanks every day. So, they dont give a flying f**k how much the gas cost.
Additionally, gas price is not the main reason for some of Prius owners who bought the car. Some bought it because Prius is ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY and effciency is just a positive externality

Intellectual superiority. That's a good one

Apparently, Prius ownership doesn't do anything for one's sense of humor either.

Easy there CR -- take a deep breath -- I was lampooning SUV and pickup owners, not seriously describing them. . .

Hey, we're Prius owners -- it's all good -- right? Can you tell that I've been an owner for a mere three days and I'm still experiencing the endorphin high from having cut my gas consumption by about 60% (from my G35 sedan, a fun car, but it sucked gas like crazy -- 16-17 around town and typically 22-24 highway -- and it demanded premium to boot). Anyway, I'm a happy guy right about now.
