He’s In Lafayette, which would be a midpoint.

If not, I can host in Fairfield .

In addition to an oil change, I’d do the trans axle fluid.

Buy 4 quarts of the ATF WS fluid, your own synthetic oil (Mobil one is on sale for $22 at Walmart), and an oil filter and you’ll be good.

Oil Catch can
I have not ordered one yet not sure what is best

 

I went with the $38 one on amazon.

I just got fuel line for te hoses as the ones sent with the catch can are rubbish.

But the can with a dipstick works well.

 

Guess its a very popular weekend for everyone to do their road-trip. Perhaps another weekend? I might pass if its in Fairfield. That's quite a drive for me. But I will come out one day!

 

Suggest a weekend and we can see interest.

I just suggested this weekend as I have an oil change to do myself and the wife said if others want to come out, Sunday is available .

Majority of us will bring Gen 3s and a few Gen 2s so we may not have all the answers to Gen 4 questions, but we can help you figure it out. Any consumable part(s) that has to be replaced such as oil, filters & etc., that you want to bring your own. If there's any propriety tools specifically for gen 4, you'll want to bring those yourself. For engine oil, most of us use toyota 0w-20 and m1 AFE 0w-20, your call when it comes to engine oil.

 

My drives to these meet ups are up to 3 hours one way.

Bring the fluids and any washers or filters.

Every job you list in the other thread, I have done with the tools I’ve got.

Sounds like @SFO might be out this round, but do far we’ve got:

• @Raytheeagle with an oil change (might do it before everyone arrives)
• @grid with an oil change and egr pipe inspection
• @tallassazn with an oil change, inverter and engine coolant loop changes and trans axle fluid change

Hi Ray, I will see if I can come this Sunday, that is, if wife will unlock the chains on my ankle. J/K LOL!

But if I have the permission, I want to do transaxle fluid change (still need to go buy them), and replace the OCC tubes (already bought and shipped to me).

I will let you know to confirm.

 

If you can break away, we can work on those things.

Don’t forget the 2 new crush washers if you want to do the trans axle fluid drain and fill .

Anyone have an extra 4 quarts of Toyota Synthetic oil? Forgot to get some at the dealer. Can have 4 quarts amazon to you if you can bring some tomorrow. Thx

 

I don’t have any extra oil.

But toyota Vallejo is open today, or stop by Walmart as they have Mobil one on sale .

I have spare filters if that is a barrier to an oil change .
