Hello. New memeber. Tried searching forums for this issue. 2012 prius. Randomly my driver side tweeter started buzzing. I ignored it. Them my door speaker went out. My stereo would sqeaul and buzz even if it was off. So bad I had to pull the fuse. Finally some time to check into it. Pulled out head unit. Pulled off driver door panel and tweeter cover. Thought it would be a loose connection somewhere. No luck. Once I pull the tweeter off the squeal goes away but still no sound from driver door speaker.

Disconnect the speakers and hook the leads to another pair of speaker then listen for squeals and/or sound. With the result, you should know where to troubleshoot next.

    Any evidence of rodent activity
Anybody teenage driving the car (go loud or go home)

If there are no shorts and the speaker is blown, good time to replace the speakers with upgrades.

Ok I pulled my tweeter from passenger side dash. I plugged it into driver side tweeter location. Same issue with buzz/squealing sound. My stereo now works without buzzing if driver side tweeter is disconnected. The wiring looks brand new. No rodent damage. Yes on the loud or go home thing. Radio has been at full volume a few times due to girlfriend lol. At this point it's either wiring or head unit. Any other ideas on how I can test the wiring and/or head unit? I have a multimeter that tests ohms. But I'm still fairly new to all this
