2 tanks of gas in 10 weeks--happy so far

    Bought a used 2016 Four with 21K miles on it. First tank of gas lasted 5 weeks and I averaged 55.6 mpg (calculated). 2nd tank finished today, and this one got me 681 miles on 10.16 gallons--67 mpg.

    I know people on here have achieved even better numbers, and that it's summer and that the mpg will be lower in the cold months, but so far I'm very happy. Could have easily gotten 730 miles on the tank--there was still 1.2 gallons left when I filled it up.

    Yeah, you would really have to hypermile in order to get more than 700 miles per tank. I gas up once every two weeks after driving about 500 miles to and from work with around 4 gallons left in the tank. Just waiting on the long road trip to the coast to see how well she does.

    Excellent miles per gallon, I'll never get that. But hey: fugedabout the miles per tank; it's pointless and risky.

    CONGRATS!

    Perfect candidate for a plug-in. Assuming driving 6 days a week, that's a 22 miles daily trip average so one would still have a full tank if driving the Prime. ;)
