Take a look at http://www.a-bike.co.uk/store/home.php to see a new folding bicycle that would fit neatly behind the back seats of your car. It folds to 67cms (about 27ins) and the space behind the seats is 37 ins wide. The UK price is £200 which is just under $382.

Do you put one on each foot? How can you stay upright when you"re laughing so hard? Landis is going to ride this one in the Tour de Britain.

I can put my standard size mountain bike into the back of my 2004 Prius without removing the wheels, just by folding the back seat down.

It looks like something out of Monty Python. Or Laugh-in.

I assume most readers here would steer clear of the Montague Hummer XT Military Folding Bicycle sold on the same site, for a mere $1800.

I still like my bike, even if it is getting old. As a mountain-bike/road bike combo, that means I can put a hybrid in my hybrid.

So it's a visibly risible bicicle!
I haven't seen one yet and I reserve judgement, but I'm surprised that the folding bike experts on PriusChat who made their hasty judgments on such a brief acquaintance find it amusing.
I've never found a bike funny - it's people who are funny!

i put mine AND my SO's bike in the back as well. both are standard 26" 21 speed bikes. its not easy as they have to be put in just so to fit, but have done it many times. i will say that taking the front wheel off hers (she has the quick release, i do not) makes the job much easier, but its not necessary.
