Please help! Key won't do anything, car won't come on

Sooo, long story short, I got the dreaded triangle of death and was told I needed the water valve assembly 16670-21010 and an inverter water pump, G9020-47031. I was quoted $1K to have it fixed, but frankly don't have that and felt like I was maybe getting ripped off. My brother in law and I decided after watching videos and reading that we could do it ourselves.

Last night after draining the coolant then replacing both parts, we got to adding back in new coolant and hit a few snags, but then all seemed good. We were bleeding the air out of the coolant per multiple videos I've watched and all lights except the maintenance light had gone off. I thought I was actually through and that all was well, then went to turn the car off (had pushed the start on twice for bleeding) and see the check engine light is now on. What in the world?!

The key wouldn't do anything keyless or if put in the key slot. I'm perplexed and tired so I decided to call it a night and try in the morning. The check engine light went away, but same thing, key won't do anything. It does light up red when you click on it, but does absolutely nothing. Won't unlock or lock doors. When I put it in, everything is absolutely dead. Please help! I need to get back to Nashville for work and I also use this car for my job.

 

well this is still awaiting moderation... I'm going to try jumping the little battery and hoping that's the issue.

 

Yep, it was the battery. I originally tried to put it in maintenance mode and it wouldn't work. And then I watched a video with just doing the start twice so I thought I was fine. Lesson learned!

Found another video and now it's in maintenance mode and bleeding the air. However, I know this is supposed to be a long process, but just how long?!!!

 

I'm having someone look at it, so nevermind. Doesn't look like I'd get any speedy advice since this has to be approved anyhow. I was just going to delete the thread but can't seem to figure out how.
