Carpet Flaps under Front Seats - Anyone???

    <span style="color:#6600CC">I took delivery of my new Prius last month. All is well but I am curious if anyone has discovered under both the front seats an area of carpet that has been cutout. I stored somethings under the seats and when I removed the items I noticed that I have 2 carpet cutout flaps, one under each seat that gives you access to a nut and bolt.

    I asked my salesperson about that and he indicated it is an intentional carpet cut. Sounds like a "salesman" response.

    HAVE YOU NOTICED THIS AS WELL???

    Yeah it's normal

    On the passenger side, the JBL amp will be under the seat and on the driver's side, the navigation unit.

    I do not have the navigation system but did notice the flap on the driver's side. I showed it to my friend who also has a Prius and he said he has one also and that he thinks it was an intentional cut.

    Not everyone has the NAV or Amp, but everyone has the same carpet :)
