If it was a lady's hat, it would be known as a fascinator. Ok, you'd better ask your female significant other.

I suspect that, like me, you'll adapt into your new car after a few hundred miles. Everything will fall into place and you'll begin to enjoy it.

As for the depreciation, soon as you've signed the paperwork the car becomes second hand and those taxes you paid evaporate. Thereafter, you'll drive off the forecourt and every mile you add shaves a leetle bit more off its resale value. All cars are the same in that respect.

Thankfully not a real production car but any ugly car thread needs a shout-out to the 2015 Tartan Prancer:

    You CANNOT be serious.

I like the appearance. I appreciate the new design, and the fact that the Gen4 Prius is unique looking. Both inside, and out. I wanted something different, and I definitely got different. :)

At the 70-72 mpg I get in good weather, I wouldn't care if it looked like an Edsel since reading an oil industry analyst's article that crude oil might hit $100.00-$200.00 by 2020...

But you notice now that it's less and less different - because many other cars have come out looking more unique. AUDI Grilles, LEXUS Grilles, even the new Camry & Mercedes:

Did someone say there will be some changes to the 2019 Prius? I can't find anything definite when doing a Google search.

Made (out of a Previa) for a hollywood movie. It was in the rebooted "Vacation!" and then took on a life of its own. There are fake promotional materials including a video ad for those well stocked in small bags...

To help illustrate some of the things I said in my other post (quoted above), here are some images from the RAV4 EV presentation. I hope my NDA for that allows for cut & paste (It doesn't allow me to share the entire presentation but I'm fairly sure I can cut small pieces out)

Here's an illustration of the spats located in front of each of the wheels, underneath the car and how they can affect air flow. You can see that the updated ones (in light blue) allows the air to flow closer to the body of the car (right photo) compared to the old design (red) that results in air flowing further away from the car (left photo - RAV4 Gas)

Here, extending the rear spoiler helps reduce the low pressure area in the wake of the vehicle. Toyota did a similar thing from the Gen 2 to Gen 3 Prius.

So, even less chance of slipstreaming the new RAV4 Hybrid than before.... :sneaky:

I actually bought the Gen 4 because of the looks. The fins on the back kind of remind me of the fins on a 1950s Cadillac, but rotated.

My wife bought a white one, and when I first saw the front end I joked to her that her car looks like a Juggalo. :ROFLMAO:

The “ugly” beautiful car is shy trying to hide behind the tree. Every day is getting nicer haha
