Good price. That's within $100 of what I paid for my 2017 (bought new) three months ago, also bought from Sunnyvale. Same color, same options.

I apologize if my salty language offended anyone. Its good to see that im being dealt with fairly, and that the post that prompted my salty language has also been taken down. I accept my spanking moderators and will try to do better.

I’m in Bay Area. I’m trying to get an idea the actual total cost including tax, title and license if price is $29,550. What’s your total?

    Thanks!

    Is the total $29,550 + ~ $3,000?

    Thanks!

What is this $4000 factory rebate for 2017 Primes? I can't find anything on it.

That was the rebate offered by Toyota in New England market for 2017 Prime back until early July. NY/NJ market had $5000 rebate on 2017 Prime. I believe all 2017 rebates are done now, and you probably do not find a new 2017 Prime on a lot anymore.

Yeah, there's about 130 2017 models left nationwide. I don't see any mfg rebates so these may take a long time to sell.

Yeah, those dealer incentives were regional and it is over now. If you read back this thread, there were many people who traveled across the country to get the deal.

One dealer here in SoCal was selling a 2017 Prime Premium for $26,700 + tax and license. But no cash back or special financing offer. That's why I ended up getting a 2018 Plus with 0.9% apr.

I have stayed away for a while... I did not want to be tempted while we were preserving our credit for a home purchase.

However, I am now back considering my options... I may be taking a job that would require a weekly 4.5 hour commute each way. Obviously a standard Prius would work..., but if there are any decent incentives the Prime can be an overall better deal.

So is anything interesting going on out in the Prime World?

    Thank You

I paid cash on a straight purchase (no trade in) price of $29450 plus tax and license. Out the door was just about $33000 even. In California, you get a $500 PG&E rebate and $4500 Federal tax credit on top of this. Depending on your income, you also either have a state tax rebate and/or HOV sticker good until 1/1/2022.

Thanks, Antiglare. Now I know approximately how much to budget and if it’s financially doable.

How far have you gone with this dealer as far a negotiations? What he WANTS and what he can realistically GET may be miles apart, especially when you consider that the 2019s are soon to hit dealer showrooms. Im betting if you were to offer $25000 and finance through the dealership they would take it.

Nothing but looking at website and online prices so far. Mainly trying to get pricing Vs used Prius and prius prime with $4500 rebate. The only issue is I'm fairly set on a premium because I really want 3 door sks. And I think it's white, but not sure if that's just stock photo. I open my trunk like 10 times/day for work haha.

My only 3 thing must haves are backup camera, 3 door sks and ANY color but white or red.

The rebate your talking about was a market specific rebate on the 2017s in order to clear old inventory. Although im not certain, I believe that that factory rebate program has expired. If you insist on a great deal before you buy, your best bet would be to find one of the few remaining 2017s. Along with few remaining, goes limited choices as far as trim levels and colors. All 3 trim levels of Prius prime come with back up cameras. Im fairly certain that there is no such thing as a 3 door, as they all come with 4 doors plus hatchback. And as far as sks I don't know what that means.

He is talking about 3 door sks (aka Smart Key System), which comes standard only on Premium and Advanced models. On Plus model, it is only Driver side door that can be opened without pushing fob.

Yeah, I missed those great rebates it seems, but i'm not in a rush, specially if I buy new, so probably wait until they do rebates and sales on the 2018s later this year to move in the 2019s. I've heard Nov/Dec for that.

And yes, the 3 door smart key system is what I want.
