I bought my 2005 generation 2 xw20 Touring Prius with 203.000km on the clock for $3,900
I spent $300 on some BFGoodrich summer tyres, $200 on rear light unit, $120 for wheel trims,$900 on timing chain replacement , $123 on water pump, $1600 on new oem hybrid battery, $100 on used steering rack, $143 on inverter pump I hope my Prius will go for ever now :D all the repairs were done by Toyota

With all that done, clean complete EGR also, pipe, valve, cooler and intake holes.
Edit: eh but actually does gen2 even have egr cooler or egr at all :D

    Nope;).

But the only other looming repair maybe the brake actuator:(.

Other than that, should be good for a long time (y).

Since the op is on the other side of the pond, wondering if the unit’s of currency are reported incorrectly .

But if not, we have a lowest price reported winner(y).

Slovakia is kind a cheap country for outsider, so it may seem low price for us but for him maybe not.

At least he can carpool with those special yellow stickers in Slovakia.

Not sure why the timing chain needed replacement. Kinda rare on gen2 with that low mileage

The VVTI gear was broken, it kept throwing codes, since it was replaced with the chain there is no more management light and engine goes allot better

It was probably discarded by previous owner because of the timing chain problem, went to auction and someone bought it and exported it.

You can check the Toyota history in your car, log into Toyota.com, go to owners portal and register the car's VIN number. Then you'll get the history
