We have an intermittent clunk coming from (we think) the rear of the car. Paved interstate - driving in straight line - steady pressure on gas pedal - foot off brake. It will be there for a minute or two, then disappear, then come back.

    '05 - 175,000mi - no major problems

    Ideas?

Check your tires for uneven wear and/or large nails. See if your shocks are leaking/worn

Many times it's that 1 stretch of highway too

Tire wear seems fine. DW reports she noticed it for the first time a week ago. She also said that it pulled hard to the left in an emergency stop. I don't imagine these are related issues.

It sounds like you might have a braking issue. Maybe it's all rusted and corroded there?
