Use of 0w20 Motor Oil In Very Warm Climates

I purchased my 2011 Prius new and it is my daily commuter. It now has 190,000+ miles on it. I live in the windy desert about an hour drive North of Los Angeles. Temperatures are often above between 100 and 110 F in the Summer. It can get to the low 20's (F.) in the Winter. I have changed the oil and filter every 5000 miles and always with Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 and a Toyota filter. My Prius does not burn oil. I recently cleaned the EGR and installed an Oil Catch Can (OCC). ALL Gen 3's need this EGR cleaning and OCC install and the sooner the better. An item of interest is that I seldom exceed 70 mph on my 80 mile (round trip) highway commute and have logged 550+ miles on every tank with a calculated 50-55 mpg.

Yep, I drive it like it's a Prius and always use Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20.
