I guess you will have to get a recipe for a dessert or how does Strawberry Tart with Pastry Cream sound?
That's coming probably tomorrow, so it may end up being before the main course. I hope you dont mind :)
You can get a snack in between the salad and the main course.

OK, Maggie, fess up. What is the special occasion?

P.S. A nice cold bottle of Sancerre would go great with that meal.

How about creamy peach pie? This is a nice, light, cool summer dessert.

Ha! Had it right the first time. Sorta. (I'm wondering if two green onions would be a better substitution for the onion.)

Although I think I like my paprika in lieu of pepper better. I suppose one could do whatever one wanted.

You didn't read that recipe, did you?

Okay. I have a killer recipe for little butter tart shells. You put some strawberries in and then top with whipped cream. Just give me a few hours to get it up and online.

I've got a nice soft cream for lemon cookies topped with strawberries too.

(You really need to read that recipe, even if you just had peach pie. This isn't peach pie. Not like you think.)

BTW when we have strawberries, we just put them on top of cheese cake. Or in my family, cream cheese pie.

Piment is just pepper, or quite often chilli. Sauce piment is usually hot chilli sauce. If you use paprika, it won't have enough heat. I speak fluent french, but it looks as if you got a good translation or three.

OK, I read it. It's not what I thought, sounds interesting. I will give it a try, but first strawberries.

Dinner smells great, Maggie. Feel free to serve courses in whatever order you like, it won't affect my appetite in the least. A tart for dessert sounds wonderful. My wife won't let me anywhere near them. :)
