    Hello all,

I know this is a very strange question, but being in 'gen-Z,' it's one that I'd like to have clarified.

Can I vape in a Toyota Prius?

Since the Hybrid Battery is cooled by a fan in the cabin, I'm unsure of how any moisture getting in that fan will affect that system, and I don't want to mess anything up inadvertently. Keep in mind that 'vape' is mostly water vapor, and that there is a lot of it emitted when one 'vapes.'

Thank you for your time and support,

Vape is for losers. Dangerous. Fires. Bad for your health.

In California they are talking about making it illegal.

So go ahead and do it. Gen-Z doesn't listen to anybody.

    Open a window;)

In Vermont it’s illegal to drive while holding an electrical device, I've always wondered if the police ticket for vaping;)

Forget all of that, how's he supposed to reply to his self-fees comments on facebook while driving? It's all about validation and attention.

While it wouldn't be nearly as destructive as clouds of cigar smoke, I know that vaping smoke has chemicals in it that I wouldn't want anywhere near my nice car or it's HV battery. The ACS tells me that they found 16 chemicals that were generated by an e-cigarette. "These comprised major e-liquid constituents (nicotine, propylene glycol, and glycerol), recognized impurities in Pharmacopoeia-quality nicotine, and eight thermal decomposition products of propylene glycol or glycerol."

Here in Los Angeles, and Hollyweird, the guys that Vape are always driving some piece of crap lowered Honda Civic, or an old Acura Integra dragging the ground. You know, the wannabe thug types.:ROFLMAO:

But the REAL thugs that Vape, they drive Dodge Challengers. They sit at the red light, with their music BOOMING, and there are these big plumes of smoke coming out the windows. Totally ridiculous! There's nothing cool about it. It stinks. It's just stupid looking.

I hope their a** catches on fire. :ROFLMAO:

He doesn't have to vape. Its a "cool" thing for young people. It's a choice, just like people that smoke and drink!

Your own body emits even more water vapor, from respiration through both lungs and skin.

The car is intended to handle this water vapor emission from 5 passengers, plus their rain-soaked clothing and shoes.

Like Lucifer said, open a window. If it gets sucked into the evap chamber of the AC, you will be adding a vape odor along with the mold that grows in there on its own.

No, it isn't. Not even a little bit. Water vapor (steam) doesn't look like that, or behave like that. The clouds of "vape" are a mixture of propylene glycol, glycerin, and nicotine, along with small quantities of flavor. Same sort of mixture used in theatrical fog machines (without the nicotine).

I'm a chemist, so I'm just going to put this info out there, and let people draw their own conclusions. I am not in any way, shape, or form offering a professional opinion on this material. Speaking strictly personally, though, I wouldn't breathe vapor composed of this chemical if I had any choice at all not to. (See sections 10 &11)

Whether you vape or not is your business Dr.Crackers...but to answer your question...it's not going to hurt your vehicle.

Same as the dangers of "first-hand" ingestion only a bit less.

Medical studies have recently come out about the dangers of vap-ing.
    Do a Google search.

PC...where people care enough about you to be concerned when you're doing something that might affect your health.

I'm sorry if I came off sounding preachy - that wasn't my intent.

Well you need to broaden your view a bit.
That tends to happen on ALL forums, to one degree or another.
Even in "face to face" ones to a lesser degree.

I think you've answered your own question. My Prius was sold and and driven in a humid climate. The screen-filter protecting the battery fan was almost completely blocked at 130K miles.
