Wifey and I went shopping yesterday, and I went to start the car to get the AC going I notice the AC would cut off and on randomly and not really cooling the car, and as soon as she took off within 5mins the dash had every single light on: vsc, abs, triangle, etc...

We drove it to an advance Auto parts to get some codes read and we received the following codes: P0a93, C1256, C1241, and P0420(which we new about the catalyst).

We left it at a shop and they struggled to get the codes to show, but they noticed when the car was left on for two hours and driven they showed back up. They reset the codes did an entire inspection of the car and notice no issues with abs, braking, or the AC system. The 12v battery reads 13 Volts when underload so everything appears fine now.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm worried because the car entered a 'limp' type mode on us whole driving where it lost power steering, power breaks and put itself into neutral which I don't like knowing my wife has to drive the car daily.

Any help or comments I'd appreciate it :)

    1) The shop sucks. They lack proper equipment to read codes on the Prius, and should be suspect working on a hybrid.
    2) Not a false triangle. You chose to continue to drive instead of going to the dealer or a far more competent shop to seek assistance.
    3) P0A93-Inverter Pump has failed. Inverter is overheating causing the car to shut down. Get the pump replaced and all will be well, except for the Catalytic Converter.
    4) Contact member Tampaprius (Todd), or goto his site Tampaprius.com. Maybe you live near his shop, or maybe he k ows of a competent shop near you.
