So if a prime is plugged in and I'm about to head out in the morning, if I turn the AC on while it is still plugged in, does it drain my battery or does it pull from the charger?

I've learned it depends if you are using Level 1 or Level 2 charging. If using a Level 1 charger, after pre-cooling for 10 minutes it takes another 20 minutes of charging to "top off" the battery. I don't have a Level 2 charger but I'm assuming the Level 2 cable can handle enough power to where it won't pull from your battery.

I think I can answer that... @JonW is correct. L1 doesn't have enough juice to keep up. L2 does but it still isn't perfect at only grabbing from the wall as opposed to the battery. I have a way of monitoring the charge level on L2, when you get to the final 10 minutes or so the charger goes to a slower trickle charger mode. So it's really just topping off the battery, so when using the AC it's not down significantly but it's that last bit where it just slowly charging at under 1kwhr rate, so it takes about 10 minutes to finish charging it.
