CD Stuck Inside Player

Use a small tweezer to pull out the CD.

 

Searched and recommended try disconnect neg battery cable. Reconnect to see if it is then working again.

 

Interestingly, this player lacks the usual pin-hole release for emergencies, but it does specifically warn against using discs that have stick-on labels. If that happens to be your case, here's a long shot: Maybe you can slide a credit card over the edge of the disc to at least make sure the label is flat where it has to be, then play for a moment to reposition the disc and use the card again. I would also keep on trying the normal eject procedure, but that's just me!

 

What does the owners manual say to do if/when this happens?

(This is not me)This happens to my 1999 Toyota Corolla's factory CD player from time to time. I just unplug the battery for about a minute, reconnected it, and then pressed the "eject" button (without turning the car on, or even inserting the key). Works every time! Good luck!
This also works on a 2003 Avalon with a factory CD player and stuck CD. However, instead of disconnecting the battery, I just pulled out the "radio" fuse, which disconnects power from the unit with less hassle. Works beautifully!

1. Turn the car off.
2. While the car is off, hold the power and the eject button.
3. Turn the car on.

 

Nothing helpful.
"If an error message is displayed, refer to the following table and take the appropriate measures. If the problem is not rectified, take the vehicle to your Toyota dealer."

The 'table' gives only 3 possible solutions: clean the disc, check compatibility, eject the disc.

 

Clean the disc? So how are you going to do that while it is stuck in the unit????

 

Like I said, nothing helpful is in the manual.

 

Why did you put 2 cd's in one slot?

Draw out the stuck CD using double-sided tape on a thin ruler.
