The last time I used gas was when we returned from vacation on 7 August.

It cost me $10 yesterday to keep this run going. My free “work” charge location was in use and I would have been about 4 miles short getting home. Went to a nearby Blink Network station and paid 68 cents for about a 30 minute charge. The extra $9 came from the two special coffee drinks my wife and I had during the wait. It would have been smarter just to use the ounce(?) of gasoline to make it home.

 

In a Prime, an ounce of gas will get you just under half a mile, on a warm engine. It will also run you though a warming cycle (very roughly).

But the bonding and memories are priceless.

 

My commute is 36 mile round trip. I charge at work only and in summer months make it without running the ICE.

OK, but maybe my last 4 miles home is downhill.. Of course the point I was making was I wouldn’t use much gas compared to the cost of the coffees
