Hey guys! I recently got a battery out of smart fortwo ev, but battery missing a BMS. As well i have no charger port, so just battery inself (unfortunately). I'm planning to install it in prius2gen, but planning to upgrade myself to 3gen prius in 2 years. So, is anyone have any idea about what kind of parts to get? This smart cars so rare in US, so really limited information and parts list available. Battery have 3 sections and it water-cooled.

Just abandon the idea right now unless it is a pet project. It will cost a lot of money, take a lot of time, and require medium level engineering skills minimum to make it functional and excellent engineering skills to make it work like I imagine you hope it will work.

The easiest would be to do like the old-school contactor based range extenders on the Gen-2's. Using external BMS and charger equipment to charge up the pack, then just contactor switch it in.

OMG, what a NEGATIVE remark !!
    Which I agree with 100%. (y)

Good advice is not always positive and encouraging.
In this case, the proposed project is likely to be dangerous......to both man and machine.
