my Prius c battery was recently (less than a month ago) changed for a refurbished battery. The car has 117k miles and the issue had been the battery filter under the back seat was covered with fur (of all the times I’ve taken the car for maintenance no one bothered to check that filter and I had no idea it was there). So the car was working fine again after the battery was changed ($1800 later) but now it seems that it won’t engage when I go to start the car). Can I jumpstart it so how?

Yes. Pretty much just like any other car but from the "jump points" under the hood instead of the battery in the trunk.

And......at ~5 years old and 117K miles, you probably need a new 12 V battery now too.
There are TWO different batteries in there.

It probably took everything into account and determined it was not ready for a commitment. After the fan incident can you blame it?

if yours doesn't have the jump point under the hood, you have to finagle the jumper cables under the rear seat. see the o/m for instructions.
if it won't jump, call the company who installed the refurb hybrid battery

most dealer service does not include cooling fan filter cleaning for whatever reason, could be a moneymaker. i don't think it is in the service schedule, just a warning in the o/m to keep it clear
