Last I heard he was holding the price at $1600 to continental US.
He seems to sell them faster then he can replenish his stock. That is a good problem to have.

EDIT: @2k1Toaster beat me to it.

Yes I am going to hold it at $1600 as long as I can. The tariffs are threatening 25% increases in cost, which I can't absorb.

Right now, as of this past Friday, I have stock. I also have hundreds more in the pipeline at the factory that should be shipping this month.

There will be a shipping outage from mid-December through the new year as I will be in the middle of nowhere in the South Pacific and those that know how to help and ship are also taking vacation. I think the cutoff date is around Dec 12th for shipping until January 3rd or 4th.

I hope so! We've got a couple so, yeah eventually. It's really the wiring harness. Everything else is universal but the wiring harness is custom and Toyota keeps changing the ecu connector!

I have a feeling my battery is on the way out, but may have a few thousand more miles left. Any harm in letting your battery sit around for a few months in the garage? No extreme temps, but it might get a bit chilly.

A few months, not really. The dangers of letting a pack sit, is that as it self discharges differences between modules become more and more pronounced. Eventually the car will fail or fail to start. With brand new batteries, the discharge is going to be pretty equal. So your danger is letting them get to where they can't start the car. We ship them about 60% charged usually for longevity. That should give you 6+ months of worry free storage. More than that, some worry.

@2k1Toaster, I drive a 2007 Prius and my daughter drives a 2009 Ford Escape. Why are the batteries for the Escapes so much more expensive. No current need for either car. Just curious.

The pack in the escape is much larger. It also is of a different configuration. Not as common as the Prius, so there cant take advantage of economies of scale.

Eric is correct. The Escape pack uses more cells so the base cost is just higher to begin with, more materials. Then the shipping is much more expensive to air freight the batteries and then ship out to you.

2k1Toaster, do you have a shipping option or a distributor for customers in western Europe please?

We do ship to Europe. It's expensive, usually about $800USD.

@2k1Toaster somebody in another thread wondered about installation instructions. Are they posted anywhere? I tagged you in the thread but haven’t seen a response.

My @ tag thing doesn't notify me by email for some reason...

There are installation instructions included in a printed manual in every box. Additionally I send out an email personally to every buyer with extra tips and tricks for installation. There are a couple omissions and errors in the printed manual unfortunately and that is clearly explained in the additional details. There is a new batch of manuals being printed. I expect them in February since they're still going through proof now.

I'm guessing there could be added custom fees on arrival...that seems to be the way they do it in France for US online purchases anyway.
