Can I ask what's the best dealer discount one can get in NJ for 2018 Prius Prime Premium or Advanced now? I saw one person posting maybe around $1200? Some posting $3000-4000 discounts by some dealers in MA and RI. Almost making it worth it to drive over there to buy. Too bad NJ state doesn't offer any rebate either.

Just Curious- IS this the Advanced trim or the Premium trim? MSRP of $30,961 seems like Premium. Else $26,976 before TTL for Advanced is a brilliant deal!!!

 

It is difficult to locate the exact dealer for the 2017 models. You need to go through the each and every dealership website to figure out. I can try and help. Which region are you looking for?

Where do you get your state incentive information from? Can you get those incentives from private sales or just dealer sales? So they apply to out of state residents go to purchase in those states?

Yes, you are right. My mistake. Sorry for the confusion. It is a 2018 Premium, not Advanced.

 

I am guessing you meant "Toyota incentive by region" when you said state incentive. The Toyota region incentive is available on their website buyatoyota.com - Just plug in a zip code (in the top right corner) of the website and you can search for the incentives in that region. I just plugged in 12 different zip codes to get the incentives for all 12 Toyota regions.

You get Toyota region incentives only when you buy from a new car from dealership. I am not sure what you meant by "Private sales" for a new car.

Toyota region incentives are based on Place of purchase. So you get $4000 rebate on MSRP if you buy a new Prius prime in the Greater NY region (Doesn't matter where you get the New Car registered). Unlike Honda (For the clarity), which gives out incentives based on the place of registration of the new car (i.e. not based on Place of purchase)

How much incentives does california/federal still carry for the prime this year?

 

I have the same question since the election is over I heard the incentives stay.

 

Is sales tax applied to the dealer incentive? If the dealer incentive is $4000 and sales tax is 7%, is the sales tax applied to the car price before or after taking into consideration the incentive? This is worth $280.
