It is truly a masterpiece of engineering! I almost never have to refuel, and it is a great ride. I really, really love my Prius C, and no, I do not work for Toyota lol.

It's a great little car. It feels really solid, handles well, and turns on a dime. Great gas mileage, great for stop-and-go traffic because it's so quiet during the "stop" part. Hard not to like it!

Hey, so we've had our little c 2 for three years. We're in central Maine, lots of rough roads, hills, sketchy plowing in the winter, and we are very happy with the little car.
So, the original tires maybe we're at 20-25k, (we use snows for 5 months) and I managed to get three slow simultaneous leaks. The tire store said unsafe to drive and 1 day wait for low rolling resistance tires and I did a horrid thing, put regular tires on. Gas mileage is off prob 3-4 mpg! Talk about a joy killer.
If you put X ice Michelin tires for winter, you can't make the car spin or slide, it's a little tractor with lousy snow clearance.

I miss mine so much. :( I haven't been able to drive since January when I busted my right ankle badly.

Thanks. No firm ETA, just gruelling physio for now. Want to make sure I'm safe, as I've had enough enough mishaps for 2016!

I wonder if anyone here's had a broken their driving ankle before, I'd be curious to hear other people's experiences for how they returned to driving!

But to stay on topic, I'll just say the goal of getting back behind the wheel of my delightful little C is great motivation for rehab :)

Well, I've had two knee replacements (57 yrs old :/ ) in the last 5 weeks and I'm still putting around in the little car, it nearly drives itself, no standards or motorcycle though.

I really love my C as well, ironically I got a just where I work from home a year and a half after I bought it so now I only have to get gas about once every two months or so! On the upside it should last a whole lot longer!

I have injured my right ankle/foot before, to the point it was painful to drive... so I just used my left foot. It can be a little choppy at first, but if you just compensate by starting your braking a little sooner, and just using a little extra caution to get a feel for the pedal, it will get you there! I would have to be completely unable to walk to stop me from getting where I want to go!

    Hello friend,

Just make sure you do all the rehab they ask you do to. I haven't broken my ankle, but I sliced open my wrist by accident at work years ago and the rehab was absolutely painfully awful. But the specialist told me, I will be thanking her years from now. She was right. I can move my wrist more freely than my other non injured wrist and completely free of pain. This was 25 years ago. Specialist told me I had to re-stretch my tendons otherwise they grow, re-attach and limit movement. Wish you the best!!

I am a huge Toyota fan. I have probably driven ten or so over the years. To me, they are the best-engineered cars on the road, with the possible exception of things I cannot afford, like Rolls Royce or Bugati lol.

I just picked up my Prius C (it's a 2016 with 22,000 miles) and I am also smitten. It's utterly adorable.

My friend said I should have bought two, one for each foot. LOL.

    Mileage is incredible.

Please don't tell anyone but this is my 2nd car. My Camry (V6) was killing me on gas mileage, so I bought the Prius. Fact is, I'll probably drive the little Prius 90% of the time...

I love mine, too. My wife calls it a "toy car," and this from a woman who used to drive a Tercel - fine with me, for she won't be wanting to borrow it. I will admit that compared to the C, her Corolla feels like a big luxury sedan. But the C is cute, and way more agile, and of course the fuel efficiency. I like the coziness of it, and the quiet at stoplights and running on EV. As priusmatty said in the original post a couple of years ago, the engineering of this vehicle is amazing.

I don't know if you're still hanging around these boards, but I love this post. I'm 59 years old, so we're the same age. There seems to be a lot of thought that these little cars are for "young people" but I'd love to know the real demographics.

My daughter has a 2012 Prius C, and it's been a wonderful car for her (at 130,000+ miles). She was 24 when she bought the car.

Are us baby boomers the outliers on this Prius C? ;)

I happen to be age 69, and love this car. I purchased it two years ago with 39000 miles on the odo. It now has 48000 on the odo. It has been trouble free, and my average mpg has been 60.
Two months after I purchased my Prius c, my wife also bought one. It too has been trouble free. She has no idea what her mpg is.
Great cars built by Toyota, which hold their value.
