Red Triangle and Code P0AFA causes?

    I took it to the dealer. They said 2 cells were jumping back and forth between positive voltage and negative. It turned out to be loose connections at the battery ecu connector and at the high voltage leads. Consistent with other information I found on this forum. Too bad I didn't have time to mess with it myself and fix it for free. At least it is fixed before we drive it cross country next month.

    BOOM. That right there. Electrical Connection issues. I have experienced that too many times in the past and from anecdotal stories by mechanics lazily leaving a random nut or fixture loose. Always tighten and verify electrical connections especially on a Prius or on your daily driver, for that matter!

    You don't want to stall out on a freeway or ... do you?

    Interesting that it took 4 months for the improperly tightened connections to come loose.
