    Hi-

I'm from Putnam County_definitely not upstate_but not too far. I'm a new 2010 Prius owner and I'm already thinking about tires for the winter. I have a 50 mile round trip drive to White Plains every day and any suggestions for snow tires would be greatly appreciated. My last car was a 2000 Subaru Outback Wagon, AWD, and I never needed snows ... so I'm totally out of the loop on snow tires and I'm sure I will be needing them for the Prius.

    Thanks.

I just bought a 2010 Prius and is interested in joining a Prius Club around Albany, NY area. I am currently in Troy, but will be moving to Slingerlands.

    Mr. Ken,

I am from Buffalo and I just took delivery of a 2010 so can't 100% answer your question since it was redesigned this year. I did however have a 2003 Gen I, and I was thinking of adding it to increase Mileage. Your short commute is the issue and the car is in warm up more times than not. I would think if the cost if around 100.00 installed it may be well worth it since your commute is short. Plus YOU will have heat faster as well...on the cold Buffalo mornings!
    :)

Then we could see who's active living near us.

Haven't posted here in a while, but I live in New Paltz, about and hour south of Albany. Always glad to show my car to interested groups.

I have a 2005 with 165k miles (had since 2008, bought at 67k miles). I'm in Troy and need access to a Techstream due to strange starting issues in the last month... does anyone around here have one?
