I went on Toyota's site, trying to configure the Prius i'm about to buy. I wanted to get one with the most basic features, but with VSC. The only other model besides the most basic is option B, which is $2,400 more!

But I often read up on here, that you can get a VSC Prius without the JBL stereo system. Could someone please put up the accurate prices with features, or give me a link to them? Thanks.

Package 4 (HG) has the VSC without the JBL system. Here's a thread that listed the package options. The prices are in a post a little later in the thread.

you can also go to Toyota.com and build your vehicle..also your zip code entered into the site may limit your pkg. choices

That's what they did, RichBoy. Only 3, 6, 7 and 8 come up for that region.

Which means a little more legwork on your part... the dealers in your region can get 4s (I believe...) but it's a little more work on their part. The CA people on here can give you a bit more of the scoop than I can on your local dealers, though, and the process to order an unusual number. Check the Dealers and Pricing forum, there are a number of threads on good (and bad) CA dealers.

The other option is to plug zipcodes into Toyota until you find a region that has #4s, and find a good dealer in that region. A lot of people on here have gone out of their region to buy. (For example, I've read that the Chicago area has every package available. There may be somewhere closer to you that does, too.)

    good luck!
