Recommendation for Prius 2013 winter tire

    Reminds me of felt soled fishing wader boots. The felt actually gave you traction on very slippery, algae-covered rocks under the water. They've since been outlawed though because that felt trapped all the bad stuff as well and could transfer things from one water source to another.

    The classic LL Bean Maine Hunting Shoe is pretty good on ice. The sole isn't crepe rubber, but it is very soft... and is not aggressive at all.

    Also the rubber chemistry is amazing. When you rub your hand over the tread on the Bridgestone Blizzaks on my wife's car, the rubber surface is not smooth like a regular tire -- it has a texture.

    Well, My vote still goes to Blizzaks. I have a set for each of my 4 cars I maintain.
    Just turned into a family tradition to get everyone over to swap to snow tires after Thanksgiving.
