Believe the same is true out here:cool:.

We usually give the paper to her 90 year old grandmother for her to read;).

She gets enjoyment out of it (y).

my mother used to collect newspapers. i suspect my father tossed the older ones when she wasn't looking.
she always said she hadn't finished reading them.

Similar to my college roommate ;).

He always said he would get to them and they had all this useful info:cool:.

He was a history major, so he appreciated it more than my other roommate (Biology major) and I (Chem E). But we got tired of seeing them collecting in the living room .

So we took a similar tact(y).

I still haven't done the air bag recall fix. When Tideland posted those instructions for tearing apart the dashboard... wow! Do I really want them doing that?

same here, plus the time and trouble taking it in, waiting or getting a ride, going back, they should be paying me.

If you go in after the techs have experience, it’s not that long;).

When we did the side curtain airbag recall awhile back, we had just finished test driving a Prime and our Prius was ready:).

Yes, you do, you don’t want the possible alternative if you get into an accident.

Did anyone look at the tech info FAQ for this repair?

Apparently if the wires are not exposed, it will take 45min to put protective tape over them and inspect. If any wires are cut through, it takes FIVE HOURS to replace the engine wiring harness with one that has better insulation.

EDIT: Whoops, I was talking about the GEN 4 recall that was in the GEN 4 forum when I posted it in that thread. Somehow my post got moved into a gen 3 forum.

Anyway there is a recall out for gen 4, not sure why mine got moved here. This is a separate unrelated recall.

I was told they don't have a solution for it yet, but that it would be a few months at least. You can get a rental in the meantime. Just be sure to not settle for a rental that is less than yours. A family member of mine settled for a rental that was less than their car and regrets that to this day - decades later.

    Happy Holidays to All!
