Not really. Taxes, delivery costs will drive up the total. In addition, I wont be able to get CA rebate of $1500. The math did not work out for me so I'm sitting tight.

true, but i like to look at before ttl, otherwise it gets confusing for people in different states.

do you think you'll do better the 17k?

    Fixed it for you. Lol

It may be worth it. You're getting a new car with the latest technologies and new car warranty and free maintenance for 2 years. You'll save on gas too.

When you do KBB, get the instant offer. I sold two cars this year using that. You can use that to see how much they lowball you.

Not guaranteed but you'll get close to that offer. I sold a 17 Sonata to a Nissan dealer and got $500 less than the offer. Then I sold a 15 Focus Electric and got the whole offer at a Toyota dealer. I think the Nissan dealer lowballed me. So if you get lowballed, take it to another dealer to get it appraised.

We found it online at one of the local dealerships in Eugene, Oregon. Kendall Toyota to be exact. We just went in with a preapproval before even talking to the dealership.

i wouldn't think you need to go all the way to oregon, but that is a very good price.

Holy moly. That's a crazy awesome deal. How hard did you have to negotiate with them? What did you trade in?

Pretty hard..I was probably able to get this price because of the research that we did.and it was the month end, so that helped a bit..

    we had getting quotes from literally every dealer in the region, (3 of us friends were working in tandem to get quotes from multiple dealers);
Once we got all the quotes, we shortlisted the dealers that were offering very good prices. For these selected dealerships, we saw the how long each car was sitting on their lot (using VIN Number) , and tracked weekly on how many cars were getting sold and if any new cars were coming in. This info helped us get real good advantage while negotiating. We went back and forth a couple of times before we reached the final price.

But I guess it's just a matter of time before every dealer (i.e. the ones carrying a huge inventory of Prius Primes in the New England region - Westboro, DCH, Lia, Acton toyota , Herb chambers to name a few) begins to offer similar awesome deals , otherwise they will not be able to move the inventory off the lots. Prime rt 2 had similar high inventory back in Oct, they began offering crazy prices and within a month all their inventory is sold out. They have just 3 cars left now.

I'm in Southern California and I've read some great prices elsewhere in the country in this forum. In SCAL, what's the latest price range people are getting? I've gotten two quotes (without haggling) for about $24,500 (after $1,500 deal rebate, before taxes and fees; with out the door about $27,500). Of course the $1,500 expires today 12/3, I'm waiting to see if the deal gets extended or if a better rebate comes tomorrow.

You don't get CA $1500 electric car incentives if you buy out of state. Tax on the $3500 TM rebate and freight offsets any savings.

Is this a reasonable deal in Burien, WA? Same thing with Seattle and Bellevue. They asked around $29,400 (includes the $3000 rebate but doesn't include tax and fees). OTD is about $33,500 with tax & fees. Seem still very high. Does anyone know of the going OTD prices in Washington State? These dealers here aren't budging or negotiate much at all.

    Hello everyone,

Seems like Toyota sold about 2312 Primes in the US for the month of Nov. Here is the updated data:
    Monthly Plug-In EV Sales Scorecard

Here is an update on the inventory and toyota rebates for December:
Overall inventory levels have fallen by 15%, with a good drop in the California region (SoCal down by about 30% and NorCal by about 20%)
Just 6 PP Advanced trims left in SoCal region. Seems like the Advanced trim is in Huge demand in SoCal. Hopefully they replenish these soon.

    upload_2018-12-4_16-41-27.png

and here is a snapshot of New rebates by region:

    upload_2018-12-4_16-50-29.png

Rebates in the Central Atlantic region ( States in this region: PA, DE, MD, WV, VA) have gone up by $1000 to $4000. No changes to other regions from last week.
Now Greater NY region and Central Atlantic have the highest rebates on the Prius Prime. Followed by New England.

Rebates in VA have gone up by $1000 now.
Let us know if the deal went through at Prime Boston. In my experience, they were not willing to Price match the quote from their sister dealership - Prime rt 2 . (Prime rt 2 sold out before I could act on their pricing, so went to Prime Boston to see if they could do a price match)
