Finally had to break down and add gas

It doesn't sound like a good idea to go for a year without adding gas. Particularly when most if it is 10% alcohol which tends to absorb water from the atmosphere. I thought the car had a warning indication if you hadn't added gas in a year or so.

 

I do run my ice the last day of every month to work the ice and to keep my eco scores up. Also, my commute is only 22 miles round trip, which helps me keep the car in EV mode most of the time. We live in a large valley that has terrible polluted inversions and I’m just trying to do my part. But again, is this car great or what.

 

I was expecting the car to either warn me to add new fuel or just decide to burn some on its own. It never did. I figured it’s smart enough to know if fresh gas is needed. At any rate, with frigid weather conditions ahead of us, I’ll soon be burning some to defrost windows.

 

My Prime was purchased in May and I just filled up for the first time today! Odometer at 12,300km (7600miles)

Works out to 0.3L/100km or 800mpg

Loving the car, no issues to report!!!
