    if your car is in good condition and has low miles (for it's age) [Check] then:
    • New OEM – shop around for best price;
    • NewPriusBatteries.com
    That's it. Anything else is a crap shoot.

    $1900 for a new batt from a dealer? Wow. If you can get that price, you should take it. That is less than what most dealers charge retail customers.

    He is in Texas, you are in Illinois. They don’t ship those batteries so that’s a long drive. The common way people have been getting the cheap batteries is to find a dealership with a low internet price then set it up so you can pick it up. Might be a drive to find a dealer but you should find one closer than Texas.

    Plug In Hybrid Electric Vehicle PHEV AutoBeYours in Scottsburg, Indiana does it for $775 - he did mine in my '04 Prius in Jan 2014 and couldn't be happier. It went 120k more miles after the HV battery was replaced. After I retired the '04, I sold the refurbished battery for $400 to someone else and it is still running.
