Does anyone know the latest version of Entune for the 2012 PiP? AND, should I bother upgrading? I'm having a hard time figuring out anything about it. My PiP reports its Entune version as 1.7.2.

Not sure of which version is current. Mine is 2.2.0 and I doubt it got updated before I bought it two years ago. Honestly, I wouldn't bother with it. I've spent a couple hours trying to find some reason to use Entune and it just doesn't do anything useful that my phone won't do way way better.

Thanks Jerry! My phone works fine for calls via Bluetooth, and for any other information I need. I only really used Entune for the Traffic application which synched with the nav screen, but I have Waze for that on my phone now.

Yeah. Waze and Google maps are both good for that.

Entune is good (at least on my car) for sending email when a charge begins or ends or gets interrupted, starting a charge at will, telling you the current state of charge, the top 100 drivers for mpg, and eco-driving (they're different), vehicle-finder, roadside assistance, automatic crash reporting, sending destinations to the Nav system, and starting the A/C. The features I've never used would include gas stations, charging spots, movie tickets, sports and stocks, iHeart Radio and Slacker Radio. Traffic & weather would be SiriusXM extras, if I needed them.

The problem is, that the features you use (and I would use) are not available on the base model. The ones you don't use (and neither do I) are available on the base model.

It was beginner's luck for me. I never even heard of a Prius Plug-In until the day before I bought the only one a dealer had. Drove 35 miles to get there, and it just happened to be the Advanced model. Someday I might need the pop-out headlight washers or the fog lights.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Todd had an advanced available when I got mine, but it had more miles, was a year older and cost several thousand more. Just couldn't swing it. But it sure has some nice features.
