Hi guys, my son has a red triangle issue on his 2007 Prius. As I am in San Juan PR, I don't know any reputable and reasonable places to send him in near Claremont San Diego. Does anyone know one. I'm ordering him an OBD II so I can help him but still would like to have a go to shop out there. Car still runs but I told him not to use it until we check. Thanks in advance.

Have him send you a picture of the lights on the dash, then post them here. If it's only the red triangle, it's probably just an inverter pump failure. The lights will probably go out in the morning too....until it gets warm again.

No I had him check the inverter pump resovoir and he says it's bubbling so it must be something else. It's the triangle, check engine,VSC, light and the circle with the exclamation point as well as maitanence required which makes me think could it be low oil. Have to ask home to check that also. He will send me the picture of dash and I will post it. Thanks

If all those lights are on, chances are you have a bad HV battery. But you'll need the codes to confirm

Low oil would not trip all those lights. Low oil does not trip any lights, zero oil pressure due to low oil does. Maintence Required is only a mileage timer. Goes on 5000 miles after you reset it.
