The company is an offshoot of one that has been making a classic Porsche copy since the '60s and custom cars.

Well let's be clear here- I'm not sending them any money. I'm similarly doubtful of the company's ability to survive let alone thrive. I don't think it's particularly pejorative of you to refer to them as fly-by-night. I'd never heard of them before either. So I'm not taking that leap.

What I like about it is that it appears to be a lean, mean transportation machine. The feature list and associated price tag is an absolute slam-dunk for me. Something to keep my eye on.

To put it in perspective: if Tesla were selling & servicing that product as-depicted today, I would be even more interested in it because I perceive their organization as being much further along the path towards stability, and I might have a shot at getting it serviced within 100 miles of home. That's a leap I could take.

Further: If Toyota sold & serviced that product as-depicted today, I'd probably have an order in.

That particular motorcycle is already on the road and has already been delivered to a variety of people.

So at least it’s real, unlike elio or aptera .

I'm waiting for the screen bubble to burst, and it can't happen soon enough.

You notice that the steering wheel can't possibly have a screen built into the steering wheel as there could be no airbag that way .... unless they're using the Samsung AMOLED flexible thin film that it could come busting through.

I'm glad to see some serious competition in the EV market. I remember when everyone thought everything made in Japan was junk. The writing is on the wall.

I also noticed the lack of rearview mirrors and passive reflectors.

The mirrors are a very big deal. A lot of EV-makers are keen to get rid of them for aero gains, but nobody has put forth a system technically advanced enough to really get away with it. I understand there are a few soon-to-launch cars currently seeking some kind of waiver or exemption to allow them. I'm concerned that they are lowering the bar safety-wise.

Objectively I'm in favor of video side-view, but only if it gets done right. Camera and display technology have both improved considerably, but neither are where they need to be for this critical function.

I think there is a noisy 0.01% of the population that would (or would like to) buy a different and unique vehicle and will put up with whatever it takes to stand out on the road or in front of their friends.

And maybe 1% that roots for these kinds of cars.

Then there is the mass market who want a dealer within 10 miles, fast chargers every 25 miles on every road to everywhere and anywhere.

I'm seeing more of them in the metro Detroit area too.

If you are looking for the negative you can always find it. If you will continue following the posts on the Raleigh Waiting Room, what is the most common comment after the customers get their cars, even after having delivery issues? “I love this car!”

I agree this car is not for you.
