I received my letter last Monday, got the next appointment available which was today. Done.

TShe's had a very economical week:

You got the warmer weather! My mileage has dropped due to lower temperatures. We had our first hard freeze last weekend.

The weather hasn't ever thought of ... a freeze here. Yep, 17-20 minimums, 26-30 maximums at the moment.

We might get one or 2 days every year or 2 down to ZERO, and some frosts - but no ground freezes, snow, black ice etc.

Just a FYI. Got my harness taping and ICS update yesterday, no problems. I didn't have any abrasion on the harness (I knew that already thanks to learning about it early here :). Nobody commented at all in the fact that I had removed a small amount of plastic from the snap-on housing to get a bit of air spacing above the left harness connector. Only downside is that the "Tardis" sat waiting and me there for 3 hours for a 20 minute job...
For me its a 100 plus mile trip up and back to the dealer and there is a local dealer, I might give them a chance to impress me with an early change of the Transaxle fluid (I'm old school engineering, I'd feel better :)). That though, can wait till early spring...

I feel your pain. My local dealer messed up on the first tire rotation inspection. I drove 150 miles to my dealer (twice!) to get the recall completed fully. The first time they only taped one side & then the recall instructions were updated.

Just revisiting the original post. I think we'll have to take ours back for a redo of the driver's side. I actually got in there for a look today, and it looks like the tech didn't actually wrap the portion that makes contact with the bottom. Does this seem like a legit claim (see pic)? I have the tape, but I want the dealer to update their fix so there is no question about warranty work.

Yes. If the dealer wants to argue, ask them to re-read the work instructions; in a note at the bottom of page 14, Toyota writes, “When properly applied, the tape will provide abrasion resistance against the connector cover.”

Still think providing a "Relief" in the cover, is the proper fix......(y)

It wasn't the cover, but underneath which they said they were preventing damage to.

I think Tande might be talking about the passenger's side wire bundle. My wife and I have to get two Priuses updated with the taping for the passenger's side wire bundle.

Both are correct. They are only concerned with damage from below, but are taping the passenger side harness too. The top cover definitely rubs but I hope the new tape will help.
Since my car is now out of warranty, I may trim back the top cover myself, when the weather gets better. I wanted to wait until the recall was done before trying fixes myself.

The funny part is, that plastic piece under the wire bundle on the driver's side is not super rigid. You can move it with your finger quite easily. When I first saw the schematic diagram way back when, my first thought was "what dummy allowed the wire bundle to be resting on a hard sharp edge?" :D I thought it was metal before I actually looked at it.o_O

Edit: it changed 'dumb @$$' to 'dumb nice'.

Maybe it moves during the operation of the car - and eventually could wear through? And not being obvious, could be a greater hazard than the one we can see. It's not the termite you can see that's the problem - but the thousand which are eating your house frame.

Quick update. They corrected the original wrapping, and also did the right (passenger's) side per the updated recall. I'm taking mine in to get the other side wrapped as well. (y)

That's when she got hers done according to my post October 15th. Guess her Prius didn't make the cut off to have both sides taped up. Lol.

Wondering , will she receive a notification that it needs to be done again or not ?
